Firefox is conducting a online quiz challenge where you can participate to win a brand new Nokia N900.

To celebrate the launch of the new Firefox for Mobile 1.1 application,  Mozilla want to give you the chance to win a new Nokia N900. Mozilla is hosting an online quiz challenge to see how much you know about the various features available in Firefox for Mobile 1.1, which is available for use on the Nokia N900 mobile computer.

Starting today, there will be three different quizzes, one per week for 3 weeks.

Here’s a time line for the quizzes that will be posted online:

So we jumped to the OVI store and we did find some excitements. The paying system for app returns to Nokia N900 OVI store. We remember the security hole before where the paid apps can be downloaded free. We hope its fixed and the OVI Store is open for business for Nokia N900

Payments are handled via credit card connected to your Ovi account. First time buyers need to fill out their card information, but the purchases after that just require you to login.

How to reset your MicroBrowser on N900, when you cannot access the OVI Store?

If you get a message, that you should go to app manager and upgrade your maemo version, when you try to access the OVI Store with the N900,

then you could do this little workaround to reset your browser:

you need: xterm (rootsh)

your steps:

//1. login as root

sudo gainroot

//2. go to folder microb

cd /home/user/.mozilla

// 3. rename the microb folder in .mozilla
mv microb microb.old

//4. reboot

if you have access to the OVI Store, then you can do step 5.

//5.remove the microb.old folder

rm -rf /home/user/.mozilla/microb.old

Just in case you had plugins like adblockplus, you have to reinstall them.

I’m pleased to announce that we’re opening the doors of the Store as a Beta release to Nokia N900 users and offering a collection of hand-picked content. Nokia N900 users can find the Store on the main menu of their device. Once inside the store, you’ll immediately see the apps developed expressly for Maemo 5 and the Nokia N900 ranging from Foreca Weather and Documents to Go to Pixelpipe, Evernote and Bounce Evolution.

I’ve been using the Documents to Go file viewing app when I need to be productive while on the move. The Documents To Go Viewer Edition lets me view native Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files and email attachments right on my N900. Today the Nokia N900 got a firmware update. The firmware is updated to version 1.2009.44.1 from 1.2009.42.11.

You can get your N900 updated via NSU or OTA.
