I did remove the SD card, and applied the steps as mentioned in your instructions. I never get back to my old system-maemo. Every time I press the start button the penguin icon will show up and it says " Kernel Starting..... " then tun off automatically. It happens everytime I try to switch on, either by inserting SD or without SD.... what should I do to boot into the old system? Enter your IMEI in the field besides “Enter product id:” and click Send. Accept the End User Software Agreement on the next page and you’ll be redirected to a page containing firmware images for the N900. 5-Step 3: Download the file ‘RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.51-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin’ which is the ‘Second Maemo 5 Global release for Nokia N900. Make sure you select the Global release and not any of the regional ones to avoid problems with different keyboard layouts and so forth. 6-Remember that firmware image we downloaded?
