MeeGo Summit FI is a developer oriented 2-day summit happening in Tampere, Finland. It is packed with MeeGo and Qt sessions and showcases. Today in Meego summit Nokia announced that the Developer Edition of Meego 1.2 for N900 will be released as a full functional operating system by June end to increase Meego users. From the image above we can see that they have already made Voice call, Fennec browser and camera to work in Meego 1.2 DE for N900. N900 Developer Edition project is carried out by 20+ Nokia funded full time developers and 10+ volunteer developers.
Sagestechblog shows us a video of Nokia N900 which runs Meego 1.2 with Meego for Tablet UI on top of it. Meego UI works quite good in the N900 hardware. But there are certain glitches in homescreen and menu due to landscape and portrait orientation.
Today Meego Blog posted that the new Meego 1.1.2 SDK update is out. This update is recommended for all users running the MeeGo v1.1 SDK. This update is applicable to Meego Core SDK, Meego Handset SDK and Meego Netbook SDK.
As we reported earlier developers successfully ported the Meego to Nexus One, Dell Streak and HTC Desire. As the new Meego1.1 is released its more improved than the previous Meego. The developers have ported the Meego1.1 to Nexus one and reported that its running so smooth.

We reported earlier that Nokia have released the firmware update PR1.3 for Nokia N900. This firmware update comes with a patch which enables developers to dual boot Meego and Maemo in Nokia N900. Meego official wiki have released the instructions for dual booting Meego and Maemo in Nokia N900.
Nokia N900 is still a rock solid open source phone from Nokia. There are so much things going with it such as Meego, NITdroid and now palm games have been ported to N900.
